APPLICATION FOR DISPENSATION BY
COUNCILLOR OWEN ALEXANDER MARMION WILLIAMS

 

An application for dispensation has been received from Councillor Owen Williams a member of Manordeilo and Salem Community Council.

 

The application relates to his personal interest when considering the County Council’s revised Local Development Plan (LDP)

 

Councillor Williams would have a personal interest in any council discussions on the LDP as it is likely to affect the family home.

 

This interest would be prejudicial as a member of the public with knowledge of the relevant facts would reasonably regard the interest as so significant that it is likely to prejudice his judgement of the public interest.

 

The application is made on 2 grounds specified in the regulations, namely;

 

1.    That his participation would not damage public confidence in the conduct of that Council business and

2.    That his participation is justified by his role and expertise
