RESOLVED that the decision record of the meeting held on the 30^th September 2020 be signed as a correct record.

The Executive Board Member considered a report setting out proposals to distribute £38,570 of capital funding from WLGA to help tackle food poverty through a third-party grant administered by the Authority. The third-party grant would be open to any constituted organisation seeking to help tackle food poverty in Carmarthenshire. It was proposed that Capital grants of between £1,000 and a maximum of £5,000 would be made available.

RESOLVED to approve the delivery of the Food Poverty Fund via a Third-Party Grant.

RESOLVED that the following applications for assistance from the Mynydd y Betws Community Benefit Fund and Welsh Church Fund be approved subject to the usual terms and conditions and those specified in the report:

The Executive Board Member considered a report detailing proposed amendments to the current criteria relating to the Authority’s Targeted Finance Fund to meet the current needs of the third sector in light of the current climate. Approval was also sought for an allocation of funding towards a pilot initiative being managed by Dyfed Powys Police to test a different model to support community activities.

RESOLVED

5.1 to approve the amendments to the current criteria detailed in the report relating to the Authority’s Targeted Finance Fund to meet the current needs of the third sector in light of the current climate;

5.2 to approve an allocation of £7,500.00 funding towards a pilot initiative being managed by Dyfed Powys Police.
