Apologies for absence were received from Councillor A.S.J. McPherson.

DECLARATIONS OF PERSONAL INTERESTS.

Minutes:

There were no declarations of personal interests.

MR DOUGLAS GLYNDWR THOMAS - APPLICATION FOR THE GRANT OF A HACKNEY CARRIAGE/PRIVATE HIRE DUAL DRIVERS LICENCE pdf icon PDF 140 KB

Minutes:

The Committee considered an application from Mr Douglas Glyndwr Thomas of Iron Gate Lodge, Talley, Llandeilo, Carmarthen, for the grant of a hackney carriage/ private hire dual driver’s licence.

 

The Committee interviewed Mr Thomas with regard to his application.

 

The Senior Licensing Officer recommended that Mr Thomas’ application be granted with a warning to his future conduct.

 

UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that, in line with the Council’s guidelines, the application submitted by Mr Douglas Glyndwr Thomasfor the grant of a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Dual Driver’s Licence be granted with a warning as to his future conduct.

MR SIMON JOHN GRIFFITHS - APPLICATION FOR THE GRANT OF A HACKNEY CARRIAGE/PRIVATE HIRE DUAL DRIVERS LICENCE pdf icon PDF 139 KB

Minutes:

In accordance with Minute 6 of its meeting held on the 24th October, 2018 the Committee considered an application from Mr Simon John Griffiths of 36 Harddfan, Bryn, Llanellifor the grant of a hackney carriage/ private hire dual driver’s licence.

 

The Committee interviewed Mr Griffiths with regard to his application.

 

A representation was received from a potential employer of Mr Griffiths in support of his application.

 

The Senior Licensing Officer recommended that Mr Griffiths’ application be granted with a warning to his future conduct.

 

UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that, in line with the Council’s guidelines, the application submitted by Mr Simon John Griffithsfor the grant of a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Dual Driver’s Licence be granted with a warning as to his future conduct.

5.

MR BERNARD PRICE - APPLICATION TO RENEW A HACKNEY CARRIAGE/PRIVATE HIRE DUAL DRIVERS LICENCE pdf icon PDF 139 KB

Minutes:

In accordance with Minute 7 of its meeting held on the 24th October, 2018 the Committee considered an application from Mr Bernard Price of 159 Trilwm, Trimsaran, Kidwelly for the renewal of his hackney carriage/ private hire dual driver’s licence.

 

The Committee interviewed Mr Price with regard to his application.

 

The Senior Licensing Officer recommended that Mr Price’s application be granted with a warning to his future conduct.

 

UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that, in line with the Council’s guidelines, the application submitted by Mr Bernard Price for the renewal of his Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Dual Driver’s Licence be granted with a warning as to his future conduct.

MR SIMON MARTIN VAUGHAN - APPLICATION FOR THE GRANT OF A HACKNEY CARRIAGE/PRIVATE HIRE DUAL DRIVERS LICENCE pdf icon PDF 140 KB

The Committee considered an application from Mr Simon Martin Vaughan of 9 Carregamman Isaf, Ammanford for the grant of a hackney carriage/ private hire dual driver’s licence.

 

The Committee interviewed Mr Vaughan with regard to his application.

 

The Senior Licensing Officer recommended that Mr Vaughan’s application be granted with a warning to his future conduct.

 

UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that, in line with the Council’s guidelines, the application submitted by Mr Simon Martin Vaughanfor the grant of a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Dual Driver’s Licence be granted with a warning as to his future conduct.

7.

MR BRIAN WOOLOFF - APPLICATION TO RENEW A HACKNEY CARRIAGE/PRIVATE HIRE DUAL DRIVERS LICENCE pdf icon PDF 139 KB

Minutes:

The Committee considered an application from Mr Brian Wooloff of 9 Lon yr Ysgol, Llanelli for the renewal of his hackney carriage/ private hire dual driver’s licence.

 

The Committee interviewed Mr Wooloff with regard to his application.

 

The Senior Licensing Officer recommended that Mr Wooloff’s application be granted with a final warning to his future conduct.

 

The Committee thereupon:

 

RESOLVED to retire into private session in order to receive legal advice pursuant to Paragraph 16 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

 

Following the adjournment the Committee reconvened to advise of its decision.

 

RESOLVED that, in line with the Council’s guidelines, the application submitted by Mr Brian Wooloff for the renewal of his Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Dual Driver’s Licence be granted with a warning as to his future conduct.
