THE REPORTS RELATING TO THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE NOT FOR PUBLICATION AS THEY CONTAIN EXEMPT INFORMATION AS DEFINED IN PARAGRAPH 12 OF PART 4 OF SCHEDULE 12A TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 AS AMENDED BY THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT (ACCESS TO INFORMATION) (VARIATION) (WALES) ORDER 2007 AS THEY CONTAIN INFORMATION RELATING TO A PARTICULAR INDIVIDUAL. 

 

IF, FOLLOWING THE APPLICATION OF THE PUBLIC INTEREST TEST, THE COMMITTEE RESOLVES PURSUANT TO THE ACT TO CONSIDER THESE ITEMS IN PRIVATE, THE PUBLIC WILL BE EXCLUDED FROM THE MEETING DURING SUCH CONSIDERATION.

RESOLVED, pursuant to the Local Government Act 1972, as amended by the Local Government (Access to Information) (Variation) (Wales) Order 2007, that the public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following items as the reports contained exempt information as defined in paragraph 12 of Part 4 of Schedule 12A to the Act.

MR IAN RICHARD PRICE - APPLICATION FOR THE GRANT OF A HACKNEY CARRIAGE/PRIVATE HIRE DUAL DRIVER'S LICENCE.

Minutes:

The Committee considered an application from Mr Ian Richard Price of Crynga Bach, Llwyndrain, Llanfyrnach for the grant of a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Dual Driver’s Licence.

 

The Senior Licensing Officer informed the Committee of the issues that had arisen in respect of the application.

 

The Committee interviewed Mr Price with regard to his application and the issues raised by the Senior Licensing Officer.

 

The Senior Licensing Officer recommended that Mr Price’s application be granted with a warning as to his future conduct.

 

The Committee thereupon:

 

RESOLVED to retire into private session in order to receive legal advice pursuant to Paragraph 16 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

 

Following the adjournment the Committee reconvened to advise of its decision.

 

UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that the application submitted by Mr Ian Richard Price for the grant of a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Dual Driver’s Licence be granted with a warning as to his future conduct.

 

Reason

 

On the evidence presented the Committee was satisfied that the applicant was a fit and proper person to hold a licence.

8.

MR GARETH LAURENCE WILLIAMS - APPLICATION FOR THE GRANT OF A HACKNEY CARRIAGE/PRIVATE HIRE DUAL DRIVER'S LICENCE.

Minutes:

The Senior Licensing Officer advised the Committee that Mr Gareth Laurence Williams of 56 Is Y Llan, Llanddarog had notified officers that he was unable to attend the meeting and had requested that consideration of his application be deferred.

 

UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that consideration of the application submitted by Mr Gareth Laurence Williamsfor the grant of a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Dual Driver’s Licence be deferred to the next meeting.

9.

MR LEE STUART JONES - APPLICATION FOR THE GRANT OF A HACKNEY CARRIAGE/PRIVATE HIRE DUAL DRIVER'S LICENCE.

Minutes:

The Committee considered an application from Mr Lee Stuart Jones of 6 Globe Row, Dafen, Llanelli for the grant of a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Dual Driver’s Licence.

 

The Senior Licensing Officer informed the Committee of the issues that had arisen in respect of the application.

 

The Committee interviewed Mr Jones with regard to his application and the issues raised by the Senior Licensing Officer.

 

The Senior Licensing Officer recommended that Mr Jones’ application be granted with a warning as to his future conduct.

 

The Committee thereupon:

 

RESOLVED to retire into private session in order to receive legal advice pursuant to Paragraph 16 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

 

Following the adjournment the Committee reconvened to advise of its decision.

 

UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that the application submitted by Mr Lee Stuart Jones for the grant of a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Dual Driver’s Licence be granted with a warning as to his future conduct along with a recommendation that a record of journeys / drivers is maintained.

On the evidence presented the Committee was satisfied that the applicant was a fit and proper person to hold a licence.

MR IMTIAZ RASOOL - APPLICATION FOR A HACKNEY CARRIAGE/PRIVATE HIRE DUAL DRIVERS LICENCE.

Minutes:

The Committee considered an application from Mr Imtiaz Rasool of 3 Millbrook Crescent, Carmarthen for the grant of a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Dual Driver’s Licence.

 

The Senior Licensing Officer informed the Committee of the issues that had arisen in respect of the application.

 

The Committee interviewed Mr Rasool with regard to his application and the issues raised by the Senior Licensing Officer.

 

The Senior Licensing Officer recommended that Mr Rasool’s application be granted with a warning as to his future conduct.

 

The Committee thereupon:

 

RESOLVED to retire into private session in order to receive legal advice pursuant to Paragraph 16 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

 

Following the adjournment the Committee reconvened to advise of its decision.

 

UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that the application submitted by Mr Imtiaz Rasool for the grant of a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Dual Driver’s Licence be granted with a warning as to his future conduct.

MR GLEN JOHN DAVIES - APPLICATION FOR A HACKNEY CARRIAGE/PRIVATE HIRE DUAL DRIVERS LICENCE

The Committee considered an application from Mr Glen John Davies of Henfryn Mill, Pentrecwrt, Llandysul for the grant of a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Dual Driver’s Licence.

 

The Senior Licensing Officer informed the Committee of the issues that had arisen in respect of the application.

 

The Committee interviewed Mr Davies with regard to his application and the issues raised by the Senior Licensing Officer.

 

The Senior Licensing Officer recommended that Mr Davies’ application be granted with a warning as to his future conduct.

 

The Committee thereupon:

 

RESOLVED to retire into private session in order to receive legal advice pursuant to Paragraph 16 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.
