MR KENNETH JOHN JOSEPH DUXBERRY APPLICATION FOR A HACKNEY CARRIAGE/PRIVATE HIRE DUAL DRIVERS LICENCE Additional documents: Minutes: The Committee considered an application from Mr Kenneth John Joseph Duxberry of 18 Cwrt Y Gloch, Peniel, Carmarthen to renew his hackney carriage/private hire dual driver’s licence.
The Senior Licensing Officer advised that Mr. Duxberry was unable to be present at the meeting but had requested that the Committee consider his case in his absence.
The Committee was informed of the issues that had arisen in respect of Mr. Duxberry’s licence.
The Senior Licensing Officer recommended that Mr Duxberry’s application be granted with a warning as to his future conduct.
UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that the application submitted by Mr Kenneth John Joseph Duxberry for the renewal of a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Dual Driver’s Licence be granted with a warning as to his future conduct.
Reason On the evidence presented the Committee was satisfied that the applicant was a fit and proper person to hold a licence. |

MR PETER CYRIL PEARCE APPLICATION FOR A HACKNEY CARRIAGE/PRIVATE HIRE DUAL DRIVERS LICENCE Additional documents: Minutes: The Committee considered an application from Mr Peter Cyril Pearce of 43 Orchard Park, Laugharne for the grant of a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Dual Driver’s Licence.
The Senior Licensing Officer informed the Committee of the issues that had arisen in respect of the application.
The Committee thereupon asked Mr Pearce questions with regard to the application and the issues raised by the Senior Licensing Officer.
The Senior Licensing Officer recommended that Mr Pearce’s application be granted with a warning as to his future conduct.
The Committee thereupon
UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED to retire into private session in order to receive legal advice pursuant to Paragraph 16 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.
Following the adjournment, the Committee reconvened to advise of its decision.
RESOLVED that the application submitted by Mr Peter Cyril Pearce for the grant of a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Dual Driver’s Licence be granted with a warning as to his future conduct.
Reason On the evidence presented the Committee was satisfied that the applicant was a fit and proper person to hold a licence. |

MR JAMIE STEPHEN SMITH APPLICATION FOR A HACKNEY CARRIAGE/PRIVATE HIRE DUAL DRIVERS LICENCE Additional documents: Minutes: The Committee noted that this item had been withdrawn from the agenda.

MR STEVE ANTONY WILLIAMS HACKNEY CARRIAGE/PRIVATE HIRE DUAL DRIVERS LICENCE Additional documents: Minutes: The Committee was informed that Mr Steve Antony Williams of 110 High Street, Ammanford was a licensed hackney carriage/private hire dual driver with this authority.
The Senior Licensing Officer informed the Committee members of the issues that had arisen in respect of his licence.
The Committee asked Mr Williams questions with regard to the issues raised by the Senior Licensing Officer.
The Senior Licensing Officer recommended that Mr Williams be issued with a final warning as to his future conduct.
The Committee thereupon:
UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED to retire into private session in order to receive legal advice pursuant to Paragraph 16 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.
