TO RECEIVE THE ACTION NOTES OF THE MEETING OF THE SHORTLISTING PANEL HELD ON THE 4TH MAY 2016 Minutes: Following the application of the public interest test it was RESOLVED pursuant to the Act referred to in Minute No. 3 above to consider this matter in private, with the public excluded from the meeting as it would involve the disclosure of exempt information relating to a particular individual or information which is likely to reveal the identity of an individual (Paragraphs 12 and 13 of Part 4 of Schedule 12A to the Act).
The public interest test in this matter related to the fact that the report included details of applications received for the External Member position. The public interest in disclosure of that information is outweighed by the public interest in respecting the right of confidentiality owed to each applicant. Therefore, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.
RESOLVED that the report of the meeting of the Shortlisting Panel held on the 4th May 2016 be received. |

The public interest in disclosure of that information is outweighed by the public interest in respecting the right of confidentiality owed to each applicant. Therefore, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.
The Committee interviewed three applicants for the position of external voting member of the Audit Committee.
Having considered the presentations by the applicants, it was
RESOLVED TO RECOMMEND TO COUNCIL that, in order to satisfy the requirement in the Council’s Constitution, the County Council appoint Mrs Julie James to the position of External Voting Member of the Audit Committee for the period 1st July 2016 to the 30th June 2019.
