An apology for absence was received by Councillor D. Cundy.

There were no declarations of interest.

RESOLVED that the minutes of the meeting held on 14^th July, 2021 be signed as a correct record.

The Committee, as a consequence of the recent Local Government Elections, considered a list of notified Outside Bodies in order to determine whether the Council should make/continue to make an appointment to those bodies.  An initial review of the list of outside bodies had been undertaken to ascertain the status of the existing organisations and nominations from the Political groups that had not been appointed by Council or Cabinet appended to the report at Appendix A, together with the guidance documents produced by the Welsh Local Government Association appended to the report at Appendix B and C.

In considering the list of nominations to outside bodies, it was highlighted that there was an error within the report in relation to the Labour Group’s nomination for the Hywel Dda Community Health Council.

As part of the review method for representatives to report back on the work of each outside body, the report sought to introduce a ‘reporting back’ method by way of completing the Outside Bodies - Councillors’ Annual Report 2022/23 form appended to the report at Appendix D.

UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that:

4.1      following the 2022 Local Government Elections, subject to the Labour Group’s nomination for the Hywel Dda Community Health Council being amended, the political group nominations to outside bodies as detailed in Appendix A be appointed,

4.2     that the reporting back form appended to the report at Appendix D be approved, and that Members appointed to serve on outside bodies be required to report back on meetings by way of completing the form.
