The Executive Board Member considered a digest of proposed leisure charges for 2018-19 which incorporated minor amendments following feedback from the Community Scrutiny Committee held on the 14th December 2017 such as the introduction of a 5-7 day pass for the Country parks to cater for tourists. The report included charges for the following:-

·         Cultural Services (Arts and Theatre venues);

·         Sports & Leisure venues (Leisure Centres & swimming pools);

·         Outdoor Recreation (Country Parks, including the Millennium Coastal Park, and Pendine Beach car park; Pendine Outdoor Education Centre.

 

RESOLVED that the digest of Leisure Charges for 2018-19 be approved.

RESOLVED pursuant to the Local Government Act 1972, as amended by the Local Government (Access to Information)(Variation)(Wales) Order 2007 that the following items were not for publication as the reports contained exempt information as defined in Paragraph 14 of Part 4 of Schedule 12A to the Act.

CATERING PITCH IN PEMBREY COUNTRY PARK.

Minutes:

The Executive Board Member considered a report outlining the need to formalise catering arrangements at Pembrey Country Park for this coming summer whilst the Authority developed a new café / restaurant build on site which was not envisaged to be operational until late 2018 / early 2019 from whence it would be managed and operated in-house. Following consultation with internal departments, it was proposed to offer the existing tenant a 6 month contracted out tenancy (1st April until the end of September 2018), subject to terms being agreed.

 

RESOLVED that the existing tenant be offered a further 6-12 month contracted out tenancy, subject to terms being agreed.
