HOUSEHOLD SUPPORT FUND PDF 101 KB Minutes: The Cabinet Member for Homes and Deputy Leader considered a report detailing the establishment of a Household Support Fund, fully funded via WLGA and Welsh Government grant funding, to enable the authority to support an increased number of people facing food poverty. The fund would support the County’s existing strategies and plans to support those facing poverty including the Corporate Strategy and Carmarthenshire Wellbeing Assessment. The fund would also align with the 7 goals of the Wellbeing and Future Generations Act for Wales.
RESOLVED
3.1 to retrospectively approve the delivery of the Household Support Fund administered by the Council’s Bureau team within the Economic Development division;
3.2 to approve delegation to the Head of Regeneration to award funding;
3.3 to approve delegation to the Head of Regeneration, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Homes & Deputy Leader, to vire any underspends into the County’s wider Poverty fund if the need arises.

Minutes: The Cabinet Member for Homes and Deputy Leader considered a report detailing the establishment of a Third-Party Grant to support an increased number of people facing food poverty by providing financial support to enable local organisations to meet local needs. The grant would be open to any constituted organisation which sought support for those that were facing poverty in Carmarthenshire. The grant, which was fully funded via the WLGA and Welsh Government, would support the County’s existing strategies and plans to support those facing poverty including the Corporate Strategy and Carmarthenshire Wellbeing Assessment.
RESOLVED
4.1 to retrospectively approve the establishment of a Third-Party Grant, administered by the Council’s Bureau team within the Economic Development division, to support those facing poverty;
4.2 to approve delegation to the Head of Regeneration to award funding of up to a maximum £10k per applicant.
