This new Strategy is key to helping us
transform and modernise the Council. Our Transformation Strategy
recognises that our employees are our most important asset
accounting for approximately 60% of the Council’s total
expenditure. ‘The future recruitment, retention, development,
and well-being of our workforce will be key to the delivery of a
successful Transformation Programme and to the Council’s
wider strategic objectives’.
Our ambition is to be an ‘employer of choice’, with an employment offer that is attractive to current and potential candidates and employees.
The draft strategy sets out 5 Workforce Strategy Objectives to help us achieve this ambition with an underpinning detailed delivery plan.
