RESOLVED that the decision record of the meeting held on the 26^th May 2016 be signed as a correct record.

The Executive Board Member was advised that the Authority had published proposals for the making of the above Order in respect of the highways detailed in Appendix 1 of the report (Public Notice of the Schedule of locations) and inviting representations thereon by the 25^th March, 2016. Whilst none of the statutory consultees had objected to the proposals one objection had been received following publication of the Noticeas detailed, together with the officer response, in Appendix 2 to the report and this was noted. It was considered that the speed limit reduction was necessary in the interest of general road safety following the increased traffic and pedestrian movements, attributed by the new housing developments and subsequent rise in population, through Pwll Trap.

RESOLVED

3.1  that the County of Carmarthenshire (Restricted Roads) Order 2016

(Imposition of 30 m.p.h. speed limit at Pwll Trap, St. Clears) as detailed in Appendix 1 (Public Notice of the Schedule of locations) be confirmed;

3.2  that the objector and the local member be advised of the above decision.
